In Kobe, a port city shaped by the meeting of Eastern and Western cultures, NONFICTION introduces a new store. Reflecting the refined character of a city where tradition and modernity coexist, the space offers a unique journey where fragrance and stories unfold, inviting visitors to experience the philosophy of NONFICTION in its entirety.

Located within Kobe BAL, the store reinterprets the spirit of the port city through a harmonious blend of rich wood textures, warm tones, and fabrics reminiscent of the blue sea. Natural light filtering through the tall windows creates a calm, unhurried atmosphere, capturing the quiet character unique to Kobe.

Spanning two floors, the first floor offers a warm and welcoming environment where wood and light come together. On the second floor, three distinct spaces flow naturally into one another, creating an immersive setting in which to discover NONFICTION’s fragrances and stories from different perspectives.

Throughout the store, works and objects by artists from Korea and around the world reveal NONFICTION’s artistic sensibility and its connection to diverse cultures. Among them, artist Minjae Kim’s Seoul Chair, crafted from ash wood and finished with lacquer, welcomes visitors into the space, offering a moment to pause and rest. Above, Sun, a pendant light by Hannah Kuhlmann (DE), brings a refined sense of balance to the soaring ceiling and illuminates the expansive space. This thoughtful curation resonates with Kobe’s sophisticated culture of living, adding depth and resonance to the space as fragrance intertwines with art and design.
