NONFICTION NAGOYA HAERA
A New Store at HAERA, Nagoya’s New Luxury Destination
On June 11, NONFICTION opened its fourth store in Japan at HAERA, Nagoya’s new luxury destination, following locations in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kobe.
Hailed as a new landmark in Nagoya, HAERA is a commercial destination built around the concept of a “PUBLIC MUSEUM,” where shopping, lifestyle, dining, and cultural experiences come together in an organic way. At HAERA, NONFICTION brings its brand philosophy to life through a space centered around scent and ritual, offering a sensorial experience that invites inspiration to be discovered in everyday life.

The new store was created in collaboration with Jo Nagasaka of Schemata Architects, an architectural studio known for its exploration of the essence of materials and space.
The central aesthetic of the NONFICTION Nagoya HAERA store lies in the rebirth of wood imbued with time. NONFICTION uses carefully preserved zelkova wood, allowing its aged textures and natural grain to become an integral part of the space. The minimalist design brings the depth and inherent character of the wood into focus, creating a restrained yet distinctive spatial aesthetic unique to NONFICTION.
At the center of the store sits a sink boldly carved from a single log, while the same material is carried through to key fixtures including wall shelving and display tables. Together, these elements create a calm, considered atmosphere with a sense of depth and warmth.
